e-mailing files
I'm fairly new to this and am starting an online league with another person. I'm trying to use the e-mail option to send him the file, but I keep getting the error message "could not open connection to smtp server." Is there another way to e-mail him the file, or how can I use the one on the game? Thanks in advance

The email function in game is not to email the file, it is to email notification to an online league when a sim has completed. Most league files even when archived are too large for most commercial smtp servers to allow anyways, so it is not really a very valid option in most cases.

The setup for it is done in the same online league setup page as you set up the upload/download settings for your league. Each person's settings will be different depending on your ISP. You should contact your ISP to find out the information for their SMTP servers and whether or not you need to use a username/password to send mail through it or not.
