turning off auto-save

I am curious how if there is a way to turn off auto-save, I have had to quit a few games whilst managing them because of work, and I don't like the way it fast forward the game and then saves it after that game has been played. Is there a way I can start from before I started to play the game?

Only if you save before you start to play a game, then go outside of OOTP to abort or force quit OOTP. Then you have to relaunch OOTP and it will take you to where you saved. Not recommended for routine use, however.
