Game Crash Help needed

I've worked my up from Single A... 9 seasons to make it to the majors... I'm in 1st place, 1.5 games ahead magic number is 20... and ARRGGHH!!

I cannot advance to the next day without a windows message that an error has occurred and windows must shut down.

The error is repeatable and occurs just as the automatic annual scouting for AAA begins. I cannot advance from any of several screens.

When attempting to run a back up or saved game folder on the original version of ootp10, it will not load indicating the game is either corrupt or from an earlier version.

Any help for me without losing my progress and starting over?

I'm running the ootp10 1st patch (released @ June 19) on a windows XP laptop.

Thx

Following up on my own message for anyone having similar problems.

I managed to get through the season by turning off the scouting system. I've experienced no problems with scouting off.

As soon as I turn it back on, OSA scouting kicks in, windows encounters a problem and the game crashes.

I prefer playing with scouting on, but the system appears broken even with the second patch.

sk,

Thanks for your post, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The first few weeks after the release are always pretty busy around here!

I don't have a magic response for you on this one. I'm going to need Markus to take a look at this one. Is there any way you could FTP us your league files using the information in this thread?

Thanks,

Steve

As we have seen no reply from the original poster in three days, this thread will be closed for housekeeping reasons. If you need any further assistance with this matter, please post once more in Tech Support with a link to this thread and we will do our best to help you figure out a solution.
