Question Manage mode ignores lineups?

I'm five years into a historical league where I am the only human manager. It is a non DH major league and I rigorously maintain a right handed and left handed lineup including depth charts.

Now and then when I look at the schedule I choose to manually manage a game. I just realized that whenever I do that the lineup I'm presented with is completely different from the ones I have saved. I also see there is no way to load my saved lineups.

So I have two questions:

1. When I am simulating games is it also ignoring my lineups?
2. Why does manage mode ignore my lineups?

Thanks

EDIT: Looking at it more closely I think I'm seeing depth chart weirdness. I think when a depth chart substitution takes place it does not respect the original players slot in the lineup and lets the computer manager determine if a change in order is needed. That might be the explanation.

Yes, that is what happens. If your cleanup hitter sits out a game, for instance, his replacement off the bench tends not to be the best candidate to fill that particular spot in the lineup.

Is there anything further that you would like to discuss regarding this matter?
