Scouting
Not sure if it's me which it probably is but I've toyed around with scouting, got no scouting reports at all the entire year 1. Year 2 I've set my budget to 12,500,000 with 45% in international scouting. I'm coming to a close in year 2 with adjusted budget and I've yet to get a single report. Have i clicked something I shouldn't have. I've played this since OOTP6 and never had this issue and I've looked at all the setting and nothing has seemed to have been clicked/unclicked it shouldn't have. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

make this 4 years now. I've combed over and over the online manual all the settings are correct, my budget isn't in the negative and hidden players are checked. still have yet to get any reports and i hired a scout with 98 int scouting. so any other ideas what going on with this scouting?

MLB Quickstart, no hidden international players
I'm not discovering any hidden international players in my MLB Quickstart. I've heard that others are experiencing that as well.
I'm on a PC, the patch hasn't been released yet, so earliest version of 10. Scouting is on, the budget is 2,500,000 w/ 750,000 dedicated to international scouting. I'm not sure if this is a game problem or a problem with the quickstart. |

Same issue here. Regardless of how much I crank up the scouting cash, no international finds. I think someone was mentioning it was an issue with using the MLB rosters included. But, not sure. Just know I'm in the same boat.

I'm having the identical issue. I don't know what exact intel you need. I am just quickstarting the game with the default rosters, starting in 2009.

Yeah, I believe that this is an issue related to the MLB Quickstart. I don't know if it has been addressed for new leagues created with the new patch or not.

What I don't know if anyone's actually said, is that they've started the MLB game, went to Game Setup to see whether or not the option checked or unchecked there. Is it? Can you even do it (check that setup) with a quickstart? I don't recall.

You can edit the option after having started the game, at least. It's somewhere in the Game Setup subheading.

I just posted last night and again this morning reflecting my own tests on this; finding that the scouts were indeed finding players. This was regardless whether I started the game with New 2009 Major League Game from the main menu or through the Quickstart options. I did, however, dial up the scouting % to 100 in order to ensure it was either happening or not. In no test, did I ever find that the scout did not uncover a prospect, almost exclusively within the first month at those settings. Maybe it's because I took the Cubs.
