Performance/responsiveness

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, so maybe it's just me.

But: I'm finding a considerable lag between the instant I click a BNN page link and the time it takes for the new BNN page to appear.

For example, if I'm on my league's home page, and click a linked player's name to access his BNN page, the delay before the new page appears can be up to 5-6 seconds.

This same lag generally applies elsewhere, wherever I'm clicking links to access BNN pages.

Obviously, 5-6 seconds isn't a LONG time, but in terms of user perception, it can seem like a lifetime and makes the interface appear sluggish and non-responsive.

My setup:

Game version: 10.0.7

OS: Windows XP SP 3

CPU: Pentium M 1.5 Mhz

RAM: 1 Gig

Gateway Notebook

I suspect the delay has to do with the game building the BNN page on the fly, pulling from the database and also (if needed) generating a player facegen image, but I would have thought my system would be up to the task.

Maybe not, though. I can't play the most recent version of Football Manager anymore (2009) because the game finally outgrew my system.

Would it be possible for you to zip up the .dat files in your saved game directory and FTP them to us as per the instructions in http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-files-us.html
