Inconsistent binaries; doesn't run

I downloaded three times from three different download sites. All three binaries are different. The first two fail to install but with different errors from the installer. One throws and "unexpected error" from Microsoft VB and the other fails and runs drwatson.

The third one, contained in a zip file, installed fine, but doesn't run. (The installer binary was somewhat larger than the others.) No matter how I try to run ootp10.exe (including command line) it just exits immediately with no message.

The product was late, yet it was rushed out, and now there is an unholy mess out there.

Believe me, the product was not rushed out. We hit this hard in beta and nobody had this error at all. But we definitely will work with you to get you going and figure out what your problem is.

As there hasn't been a reply from the OP in over 3 days this thread will be closed for housekeeping purposes. If this is still a problem, let us know and we will re-open this.
