Hall of Fame in-season for career-ending injury

Here's a weird one. Ivan Rodriguez suffered a career-ending injury in June and then was announced in the game as a Hall of Famer in mid-September, before the season even ended. Now that's quick! Not sure if that was intentional but thought you'd want to know about it.

I think a player goes into the Hall-of-Fame on retirement if he is eligible. Most players don't retire straight away on getting a CEI, and most retirements otherwise are at the end of the season.

This is intentional behaviour. I don't think it's something that will need to be fixed.

I'll close this thread out now: if you feel it needs changing, I'll give it a bug number, but it might stand more chance if put as a suggestion for OOTP XI
