Disenchanted fan of OOTP
Ridiculous that we are starting third month of the season and your product is still not out.
I've enjoyed your games for many years and purchased many different versions, but will no longer spend money on this product until something substantial changes are made. I've read all the pre-release info and I just do not feel there is a compelling reason to move to this year's version In my humble opinion, I believe your product is the best Baseball General Manager product available, but severly lacks for in game experience. I grew up on Earl Weaver Baseball and Front Sports Baseball so my opinion is understandibly slanted toward watching instead of reading the play by plays. I am not talking about arcade action, just a "Earl Weaver" type simplistic onfield display. You already have the GM game mastered, please put that level of detail into the actual coaching of the game. Imagine being able to call up hitter tendencies, adjust your defense accordingly and then watch (instead of read) the play develop. I apologize if there are similar threads out there. Just want my voice to be heard Thanks |

There are more constructive ways of posting your wish list for the next version of OOTP.

The game is 2 months late. it was actually a finished product in april but Markus decided for some unknown reason to release it 2 months late.
It is the best Gm product on the market. The in-game experience is still not perfect. Yes it is perfectly understandable why anyone would not want to buy this product. |

I'd really like to know where this "information" came from.

It is understandable why someone would not want to purchase OOTP. It is understandable why someone would not want to purchase a GM car. It is understandable why someone would not want to purchase an annuity. It is understandable why someone would not want to purchase cable. And your point is? |

For ZZZUKE:
Hes entitled to his opinion. Hed like to see facits of another game he enjoyed encorporated, its something many of us could do. Id like my wife to have the chest of a previous girlsfriends.. but the rest of the package is fine... There are many threads less constructive and harsher than this. As far as this post.... Quote:
"The In Game experience is still not perfect" No game is perfect and to some maybe it is.. becuase its all down to personal preference. What is a perfect game that exists out there?? There isnt one, I mean Final Fantasy 7 is arguably one of the most ground breaking games ever, a watershed in the industry, not perfect. Halo 3 for New Gen shooters multiplayer?? Not perfect. World of Warcarft for online D&D deciples who have nothing to do between reruns of the original Star Trek? Not perfect... But all of these games extremely popular and amungst the top selling games ever. Perfection isnt based on sales, but one CAN correlate success this way. No perfect games out there... Oh.. I saw the new Star Trek movie in theatres,, I dont like WOW or original Star Trekm but this movie was solid. (OFF TOPIC) |

It is a bit interesting that the same people that complain that the game has not been released yet. Are the same people that would be the first to complain, if the game had been released earlier but with major bugs.
So it is either: "Come on an release the game already, we have been waiting for ages." or "Man, how could you release this game? Didn't anyone test it before it was released? Perhaps it would have been smarter to wait and release the game when it was ready..." |

When will you guys learn that to make a good sports game it must be released at the same time as the start of that sports season.
(I learned that by hacking into EA's computers.) |

The game is great..don't care if it's late...don't care if there are bugs...don't care if the MLB roster simulation is unrepresentative of real life results...don't care if changes between this release and the last are not really that significant...or if they have the potential to make facets we've enjoyed in the past worse....don't care if the release date is so far past the actual start of MLB season that the "opening-day" rosters are quite dated...
Don't care about anything...I've got a belly full of Prozac and Budweiser...OOTP is perfect....Markus is flawless...everyone in this forum is impeccable and their opinions are all spot on! I understand that we (the anonymous poster) have no right whatsoever to be critical of any element of this most prestigious and unadulterated (didn't want to use perfect again) product. Being critical of this product is wrong...it will not be tolerated...and you will be humbled and ridiculed for anything bordering on criticism...any small hitch in a critical remark will be dissected and exploited and you will be made to feel like ****....this game is perfect...Markus is perfect...If I had to wait until October for the game...it would be perfect...because come release date it will be perfect and months waiting for perfection hold no weight..I don't care if you did pay $29.99 3 months ago for the game...you have absolutely not right to bi##tch...suck it up and shut the f*&ck up....it's all perfect. |

My guess is that if you care enough about OOTPX to be in this forum to:
1) Beg for the game's release, 2) Search each Thread in the hopes that a coded message announcing the game's release is found, 3) Ask for better communication, or, 4) Swear you are through with OOTP and are moving on with your life... YOU ARE GOING TO ORDER OOTPX. Just admit it...you're among friends. |

It also determined that scotch is worse than Whiskey. and U2 is an overrated band. Don't blame me, blame the program. BTW where am I supposed to play OOTPX today to fill that time? |
