Real World Leagues
Just wondering how many of you guys actually play real world leagues?
I nearly always play these games, as I like to be able to improve the roster of your team, enjoy making trades and picking up players on waiivers, have never been sacked, always left on my own. Won the world series with the Arizona Diamondbacks 2 years in a row ![]() I can see the appeal of historical leagues, playing with greats like Babe Ruth, and fictional leagues, setting up the league as you want, however, I prefer using the real players and rosters, not players I've never heard of, just my opinion. ![]() Would be intereted in hearing your opinions ![]() |

The most fun I had with OOTP9 was playing a real world (2008 Detroit Tigers) game.
I took pride in getting my Tigers to the 2014 World Series! |

And for the sake of a good challenge, how about trying to turn around the slop that was the 2003 edition? |

Thanks for the welcome lads.
Only found OOTP9 this time last year, can't get enough of it now, can't wait for OOTP10, especially with no job at the minute, will give me something to do each day. I get the most fun on major league games, and making trades, the best trade I made was Dan Haren, and 2 other major league players (forget who now) and 5 prospects for Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels, changed my season around, Howard spacked 31 home runs in 53 games! Made the postseason from from 12 games back with 43 games left after the trade, but lost in the NL Championship game to the Chicago Cubs 4-3 ![]() |

Funny how people differ.
I get almost no enjoyment out of either historical or current real world leagues. I thrive on fictional leagues, mainly on-line leagues with some dabbling with solo. I love them. The fictional players become real in my eyes. |
