NML Heartland Series underway

The 1923 Northern Midwest League Heartland Series is underway. Check out the special series page at http://www.nmleague.com/heartland_championship.htm

Its the Des Moines Bison vs the 1922 champions Escanaba Miners. Hitting (Des Moines) vs Pitching (Escanaba), a classic match up. Thus far the NML playoffs have been very competitive, and the matchup for the championship should mean more of the same.

Des Moines took the series lead in game on with a 6-3 win, Escanaba knotted up the series with a 8-5 win in game two.
