OOTP 5 - Financial Glitch

I'm literally in leagues for the last 3 versions of OOTP and OOTP 5. I also run an OOTP 5 online league and one of we're in the middle of free agency. One of my owners just emailed me to ask me if I could fix his financials. It is showing him with player expenses of $110,000,000+ despite the season not starting and his total salary being about $60,000,000. I have a feeling it has to do with league expansion, but is there a way to edit his financials. He wouldn't have money to sign free agents anyway, but this will make it impossible to resign his own players this year if I can't fix it.

What financials CAN you edit? Maybe bump his cash by 50 million (the apparent difference).

Not sure if this applies to version 5, but definitely version 6.
As commish, you can go to his team's financials and select the 'Edit' button in the upper right corner. This will allow you to edit last year's financials and this year's financials.

As to the cause... Any player who was released from his team since season flip would show up as a player expense for their entire contract. If in your expansion, you released players and then resigned them, this would greatly impact all teams financials. It is best to trade players rather than release them. Also, with expansion teams, make sure you set a merchandise amount for "last year" so that they sell merchandise this year. This seems to be a bug in the version 6....not sure on 5.
