Fake Teams with Real Players

I've been dabbling with the various league creation options in OOTP9 and I'm slightly overwhelmed with what one can do. But there seems to be one thing missing and I'm unsure if I'm missing how to do it or if there really is no way to do this: create a league of fictional teams but use real players.

I want to create a league of 6 teams, starting in 1871, and have my draft pool be the actual players from 1871. I'll add and subtract teams as the years go on and I want the historical rookies to show up in an amateur draft.

I can't seem to get this to work - it's basically a fictional league with historical players - and there seem to be no options in the league creation to get that to happen.

Can someone point me in the right direction to create such a league?

1871-1900 have teams hardcoded in the game as I disremember.

The file to adjust with your fictional teams is teams.csv, open it make your changes/additions and then put it back.

This will automate your expansion and teams moves. Simply choose to have a draft and the players will be taken care of.

Or you can do it all by hand.
