Ootp5 Cd

Is their going to be any advantages or disadvantages to the Download vs CD in OOTP5? Other than price. I know its way off but I didn't want to forget to ask.

Yes. See sticky thread at the top. For an extra bit of money you can buy OOTP5 on CD.

Advantages for some, you'll have a CD in hand no need to worry about downloads or missplacing a setup file. For others this may not be a big deal. Other needed files (i.e. DirectX) will possibly be on the CD as well.

Disadvantages have to wait for shipping, have to pay more.

True, but if you buy the cd version, you wouldn't have to purchase using the e-license system, which some people are still opposed to. Personally, I have had very good customer support from them and the OOTP staff.

The CD version will have some type of licensing configuration, not sure what it will be yet however.

Ditto. The only games I have ever purchased using e-license are OOTP3 and OOTP4 and I have had no problem at all and is a very easy process.

I must echo the comments regarding the stellar support received from E-License.

Twice I've had to get one of my licenses reset, and it was done within 12 hours of my email.

I'd never hesitate to purchase a title that utilized E-License. If only the rest of the industry were that good!

Well my experience with e-license has been very good to date, I am still in favour of having a CD version of the game.

If I wish to install to a stand alone computer without internet access, having a CD makes this process simple and painless.
