GMs Getting Write Protected Error When Downloading League File
Hi Guys:
I searched the forums and didn't find anything that matched my query, so thought I'd post. I run an online league in OOTP9 that is a transfer from OOTP2008. When I upload the file, everything works fine, but for the past few sims, when my GMs download the file, they can't access it because it is "write protected." I am going to ask that they post in this thread to give you the full account, but in the meantime, has anyone had this problem? I recently started uploading the file outside of the game in Filezilla (once it was done creating and archiving I would just use Filezilla to put it in the appropriate folder, and I do know it is in the right folder, so that is not the issue), but that seemed to be creating the problem, so I switched back to doing it in-game for our last sim and it did it again. Also, not everyone is patched to the latest version, I am, but not everyone is, so maybe that is an issue, but I thought they were all compatible. Anyhow, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bret |

Yeah, your first issue is that you all aren't on the same version. Patch everyone up to 9.2.13 to see if you still have issues after that.

I transfer my league's "online league file" to our website via Filezilla, and it's always worked, so that shouldn't be a source of the problem.
