Ratings Quick Question

New to OOTP, do players, ratings and potential ratings change as the year goes on? or when will they change? Also, there aren't any 5 star potentials in my upcoming draft....will that change?

I'm going to move this thread to OOTP9 - New to the Game.

Ratings do change over time, but you'll only see it when players are rescouted. Most of the players in the draft will be one-star, some have the potential to become five-star players.

They may or may not change, depending on how you play. They may or may not be seen right away, depending on how you play. You may or may not see 5 star players (but almost certainly will) depending on if you have scouts on or not.

You need to be pretty specific, if you can.

Here is a screenshot from Rogers Hornsby, showing his rating changes from year to year in his career. The red color means it decreased and the green means it increased from the last year.

How did you get to that ratings screen?

That isn't in the game, it is a 3rd party utility.
