‘new’ older old-time-ballpark images
I modified several of the existing old-time-ballparks (that were originally created by Henry, I believe) so they would be a little more appropriate for the early 20th century. Specifically, I removed lights (and in most cases, the lights’ shadows), and minimized or eliminated modern-looking buildings & stuff.
Those that I changed are: Boston-otb.jpg (fenway) – removed lights & shadows Braves-otb.jpg – removed lights & shadows, added American Flag (was missing from flagpole) Comiskey-otb.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) Crosley-otb.jpg – removed lights & shadows Ebbets-otb.jpg – removed lights & shadows Forbes-otb.jpg – removed light poles Griffith-otb.jpg – removed lights & shadows Polo-otb.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) Seals-otb.jpg – removed lights & shadows Shibe-otb.jpg – removed light poles Sportsmans-otb.jpg – removed light poles & shadows Wrigley-otb.jpg – removed skyscrapers in background Yankee-otb.jpg – removed lights & minimized buildings in background No lights were visible in Briggs-otb.jpg. I did not remove the lights from the LA Coliseum & Milwaukee images (although I may remove them from Milw at some point). Other ballparks that I edited (that apparently are not part of the 16 OTB series; not sure who created them) are: KC-municipal.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) Jarry Park.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) & replaced Canadian flag w American flag Colt.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) Exhibition.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) WrigleyLA.jpg – removed lights (no shadows exist) Even though Jarry, Colt, and The Ex were built well after lights & night games had been introduced, they looked to be fairly small & old-style ballparks in the images - perfect for use as early 20th century parks. So since I wanted more of those for my sims, I removed the lights, etc. If anyone is interested, let me know and I can either post here or put in photo bucket or something… Because I also want some fake parks to use for real (early 20th century, pre-OTB) ones like Huntington Grounds, South End Grounds, Bennett Park, Columbia Park, etc., and for my minors, I am also working on some similar modifications to some of the fictional stadiums that Teflon Skies and Dream Teams (and perhaps others?) created. I’ll be happy to make them available if there is any interest. Last edited by thehef; 01-19-2009 at 12:22 PM. Reason: added attachment |

Just fyi, I added the readme file to the OP. It has a little more info than the OP on the parks included & the mods, etc.
