Hitter Type

What is the result if a change a player from pull hitter to normal or spray hitter? I have a few prospects who have great speed and quickness but very little power potential, good contact and eye. They are pull hitters. If I change their hitter type, will this increase contact rating?

I just tried something drastic. I looked it up in the manual. Got my answer. No effect (perhaps it should. Spray hitters tend to get a lot more singles.).
