One-pitch mode works for only 1 batter

I have tried every combination of options, but it seems the best I can get is to pause between plays and switch to one-pitch mode every time it comes up. And then it works for only one batter, or maybe until there's a foul ball.

I like to watch the games, so the interruption of pitch-by-pitch gets on my nerves.

Any help here?
