Salary Cap Instituted but always exceeded
I've instituted a salary cap...65,680,000 ....for my career league, but I've got a large number of team exceeding the salary cap easiily..... I added up player salaries for a few of my teams and they don't even come close to matching what the payroll is shown for the these teams..... Am I missing something.... shouldn't these numbers be the same?? And if not, what's causing the difference figures being displayed....

See your other post. It is answered there.
(Short answer is that you may have forgotten the coaches salaries which factor into the payroll calculations when you did your calculation by hand. Secondly the salary cap is not in effect for any initial league draft. Third part of the answer is that the game still has a bug where you can sometimes sign one player that exceeds your cap, another way the game will let you exceed it is if you promote a minor leaguer when you are really close to the cap). I guess that wasn't so short afterall. ![]() Hope this helps. |
