1st place team left out of playoffs
In our AA league, Huntsville won the division but 2nd place Birmingham makes the playoffs instead.

It looks to me like you have custom playoffs with the top 4 teams from each league qualifying.
I can't see Birmingham in the playoffs, but can see Binghampton. |

It's also happened in AAA: BM Triple A Home In this case, Sacramento was left out despite winning their division and having a better record than Tacoma. |

Looks like an issue with uneven divisions in the sub-leagues. In both cases the missing teams are from the 'extra' division in the sub-league.
How are your playoffs setup inside the game? |

AAA structure has:
2 subleagues 1 subleague has 3 divisions with 4 teams each 1 subleague has 4 divisions with 4 teams each Rules say Division winners plus wildcard team(s) make playoffs with 1 wildcard per subleague. Must be something there. Since the 4 division league wouldn't have a wildcard winner normally to get 4 playoff teams. Hmmmmm....wish there was a way to have different rules for each subleague. Subleague 1 should have a wildcard team but subleague 2 should not I guess. |

This is something that is going to have to be looked at for v10.
In the meantime, it'll only work if you have the same number of divisions per sub-league.
