What Season does the Hall of Fame Selections take place

I am into my third season using a fictional league with a reduced schedule. Does anyone what season does the Hall of Fame Inductions began and also what are the number of the milestones? Thank you in advance.

At the end of every season when players retire. Since you are only in your 3rd season it's highly likely that none of your players have reached eligibility criteria yet.

Criteria is set by you in game setup.

My advice, if you wanted a "true" Hall of Fame, with waiting periods or at least to evaluate the candidates, is to change those settings in game setup to unreachable numbers (10,000 hits, 10,000 strikeouts, 0.50 ERA, etc) and induct as you see fit.

But yeah - it's going to take at LEAST 15 years (IMO, more like 20) for the fictional players that were drafted initially to all retire. When that happens, I think that would be a good time to start your HOF. Beta Baseball (see the General board) waited 25 to start.

You may want to check out the win shares calculator in the mod forums. It's really useful for monitoring future HOFers.. I use the win share number plus my own accessment to induct HOFers.

In addition to the fine suggestions above, I would add one comment. With a reduced schedule, you need to prorate the criteria that Bruce mentioned if you choose to use them instead of following Afino's advice.

I guess I missed that reduced schedule thing

I suppose with a reduced schedule, the defaults could be unreachable anyways!
