Exhausted player

I have a minor leaguer, John Jaso who is always Exhausted at 0%. He's a catcher, and he's on a rather empty team, but I have ghost players enabled and he should be getting the appropriate days off.

What's the deal?

Quick addition. No matter who I set as his backup or what I do with him, he still ends up in the lineup, never getting a day off.
