How to edit a player's ratings?

Hi,

I'm brand new to the game and have been playing for a couple of days.

Just started a 2008 season as the Phils (no, not on the bandwagon), and so far I'm getting my butt kicked. Hamels is 0-2 with a sky-high ERA and I'm 1-4.

Is there an easy way to edit a player's ratings, and would that make a big difference in his in-game performance? For example, I believe Lidge has 1 star but based on this past year's performance, that should be bumped up some.

Also is it true someone's going to release an updated roster with ratings and stats from this past year soon?
