Decisons, decisions
What is the general consensus on the following. When you have a player in his late 30"s who is extremely popular but wants an extension for BIG BUCKS. Sign him (even though you know is is going to suck big time in a year or two) or lose support of your fans?

I prefer to eliminate the wasteful salary. Trade him for prospects or free up some salary space. As long as you're winning the fan interest should stay high

It all depends on your situation. Do you desperately need him? Can you afford him? Do you have someone behind him on the bench or in the minors who can provide similar production much more cheaply? Etc., etc., etc.
In solo leagues, it depends on the situation. In online leagues I always move the player. |
