hiring coaches
Real basic question here. I'm managing a Single A team. One of my manager's contract ran out, but I'm having trouble hiring a new one? I shortlisted a couple, assuming the GM of the parent team would hire one, but he didn't.
I know I must be missing something pretty basic here. thanks in advance |

This year I tried something. I fired my AAA manager when I realized there was a hitting coach with much better ratings. He jumped at the chance to be a manager. All the good managers I had tried to hire didn't want to be in the minors. I'll let you know how it works out, but I'm 2 months into the season and my AAA players seem to be responding so far.

Looks like someone ended up getting hired just before the season started, and then I was able to figure out how to hire people anyway.
Still curious about your followup Seyhey... |

I've never managed a minor league team, so not sure if this would work the same way or not. Pick one of the coaches you want to hire and click on his action menu. You should have an "offer contract" option. If so, you then have to pick which job to offer once you click on offer contract. If you don't have that option, then it's up to your parent team GM to hire someone, and I don't know how to get them to do it
