Make it so all customized views appear when drafting. I see no point in creating a customized view if I am unable to use it on any screen you're able to select a view. Reason Just annoying to create views again for different portions. Priority Nice to have |

Rule 5 Draft Log tab
Suggestion
Add a "Draft Log" tab to the Rule 5 Draft. Reason There's no clean way that I've found to see the results of the Rule 5 Draft other than wading through the transactions page. Priority Nice to have |

- Have the league champion automatically draft last in the following season regardless of record Reason - Just noticed this in my recent franchise - finished with 109 wins (best record), lost World Series, still picked last. Annoyed me. ![]() Priority Low - I could live without it and I can always manually change it. |

The ability to specify exactly how many players will enter the draft pool from a feeder league. Reason Allows for predictability. I'd like to have a full majors, and a 12 team College feeder league like the Cape Cod League. The CCBL operates at a high level, with many people coming out into the draft. This way, I can have a small, high quality feeder league, but have it send 30 prospects to the draft pool. Priority Medium |

On the draft screen, next to the "Head Scout Recommendation" button, a button for "Someone Else", which chooses the head scout's next best player (and on down the line). Reason I like getting the head scouts recommendation, but if I don't want that particular player, I'd like to see who else he would pick. As the game currently works, sometimes when I keep hitting the head scout recommendation it chooses another, but not always. Priority Low - would be nice |

When setting draft list for online leagues, once the player is dropped into the list, have the player hidden from the list above. Reason When setting up several rounds worth of lists it is difficult to keep wading through players you have already listed. this would make the feature much easier to use Priority High- this problem slowed our draft and made several GM's not want to use the feature

I know, it gets asked every year, but it would be awesome to add a supplemental round to the draft for free agent compensation. Reason My favorite way to play this game is to sim about 20-30 years and take over an expansion franchise. One of the best ways to build up one of these teams is to trade for Type A free agents at the trading deadline so you only have to pay 2 months of their salary, and then you can be compensated with an extra pick in the draft. However, currently if a team in the first half of the draft signs the player... you get nothing. It makes the process of stockpiling young talent very frustrating. Priority Medium.. like I said I know it gets asked every year and it is probably very difficult to code, but I would be a fantastic addition to what is already my favorite sports game. |

Signing bonus demands for top level talent in draft pool. Reason Realism. It was in 6.12, too. Priority Low |

Allow one draft pool to be used by 2 different leagues. Reason I don't know about baseball, but the NFL / AFL had this kind of system before the merger, and it would be cool for certain fictional leagues Priority Fairly low |

Current Roster composition
Suggestion
the current draft screen shows a running count of how many players of each position are within the organization. It would be helpful to be able to change that display to show a certain teams roster makeup. Reason After 20 rounds of picks I often lose track of how many rookie SP's I've drafted. If i could quickly see on the draft screen how many SP's are currently on my Rookie level minor league team, it would help me plan my next draft pick Priority Low

Scout Recomendation by position
Suggestion
Be able to ask the scout for a particular position. Reason Similar to the "Ask for someone else choice" this would allow me to ask the scout for a specific position if I felt I really wanted an OF with my next pick Priority low...probably I'm the only one lazy enough to need this.l

SUGGESTION Signing bonuses for drafted amateur players (and for pro players too). REASON Signing bonuses for amateur players are actually quite important. It was, and still is, a considerable portion of a major league club's expenditures. Due to the rise in signing bonuses overall, less wealthy teams are finding it more difficult to pursue their desired draft picks because they likely can't afford the asked signing bonus. There's another financial managing aspect as well. Drafted players signed to minor league contracts have their salaries tightly controlled by the Major League Rules; clubs can only pay players what the rules specify regardless of the level of their selection in the draft. Thus the only way to "reward" a player for signing with one's team is by offering a signing bonus as these are not subject to rule limitations. The one other alternative is to offer a drafted player a major league contract; a player signed to one of these is not subject to any salary limitations, and thus the club can pay whatever amount of salary it wants to the player. The drawback is that the drafted player is now on the 40-man major league roster right away, and thus will likely get quite a bit less time in the minors to develop and gain experience. These same kinds of choices should be available to players in OOTP. PRIORITY High. Last edited by Le Grande Orange; 10-20-2008 at 02:27 AM. |

Produce a Baseball America Top 50/100/200 (whatever) Draft Prospects list. Reason It happens in real life (top 200). In leagues with scouting enabled, having an independent opinion from BA would help players confirm they are selecting decent prospects with their early picks. The game currently (often) sends a list of the top 10 draft prospects in the news message announcing the draft, but it's normally very inaccurate -- in real life, BA will normally peg the top few prospects pretty much the same way as any team scout. Of course, if a BA top prospects list is generated, it should also have inaccuracies, particualrly after the top ten or so, but it should at least separate most of the top talent from the rest. Priority Low. |

Allow a commish to set a draft spot or multiple draft spots to "no team" in each round Reason This could be an easy work around for sandwich picks that people would like provided the commish of a league is willing to do the work to manually enter the picks in their sandwich rounds. Priority Medium

Suggestion
Make drafted players go to a DFA style list where they can't join the minors until a contract has been signed, and have a definable draft signing date after which players go back to college/high school Reason Players drafted can refuse to sign with the team that drafted them in real life and then re-enter the draft the following year Priority High

Stats Option for Draft List
Suggestion:
Add Batting and Pitching Stats option to the possible views for the Rookie Draft Reason If you're using feeder leagues, it can be useful info, especially in the mid to later rounds to differentiate between all the 20's. Priority Low. You can create it yourself, but having it there already would be more convenient. |

For online league draft list entry, have the number sequence go down, then across rather than across, then down. E.g. 1. ___ 10. ___ ... 2. ___ 11. ___ ... 3. ___ 12. ___ ... ... Reason Easier to read, easier to manipulate. Priority low |

Suggestion
For online league draft list, have the default "And" vs. "Or" selection be "Or". Reason The majority of draft picks will be "Or", with the "And" being needed relatively rarely. Priority low |
