As per last year there is a thread per topic, and it's just for suggestions, not a debate about suggestions.

I'll remove my . posts when people post in a thread - it was stop the threads needing to be stickied...

Please make the "no playoffs" feature work. I want to be able to play with a single league/one division no playoffs. Please make it so I don't have to see wildcard standings, thus making the tie for second result in an extra game. As it stands now, the "No playoffs" feature is useless.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

A game breaker if not included

Rather than simply go, "Yeah, what he said," I'd like to request something in version 10 that will determine whether or not I buy it.

In version 6.5, there was a check box on each team's menu that showed whether that team was controlled by a human or by the computer. And, yes, I know it still possible to control more than one team, but the process is so cumbersome that I don't bother.

I'd like to see this feature returned to the way it was.

You can post suggestions in here, but they won't be collected when I put together the spreadsheet for Markus and Andreas. Please post in the suggestion sub-forum, and each one of them will get collected, spell-checked, then submitted to the guys.

Thanks!

OOTP 10 suggestions

I would like to be able to change player ratings while playing an actual game. Especially for Historical leagues where some of the ratings seem to be a bit off. I believe we were able to do this in 6.5.

I would also like to see a bigger difference in L/R splits. It seems like there is only a 1 or 2 point difference in the 100 point rating system. It doesn't seem to matter if a lefty is facing a lefty or a righty.

What about the suggestions already posted in http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ggestions.html generated prior to this one being opened? Are they going to be collected or is it the responsibility of those posters to go in and re-post those ideas in the preferred format?

Edit: I see that 'goo did post on the 17th that it was, indeed, necessary for those posters to repost in the appropriate sub-forum. I apologize for missing that instruction. However, IMHO, had this framework been in place all along, it would have avoided this unnecessary duplication of those poster's efforts. That's not Raidergoo's fault, of course.

Not enough firemen.

I used to have the time to search high and low for suggestions, gather them by email (there are several banned posters that I communicate with..sue me, I am not a saint!), IM (some people don't want to associate their name to a proposal), on different forums (check out FOFC, they are a goldmine!), in older posts in this forum, but as my family and professional obligations grow, this is no longer possible for me as in the previous two years. I volunteer quite a few hours (perhaps 20) to collect these posts to present to the developers, and that time comes out of my weekly sleep and entertainment time.

In order to get all the suggestions into a master spreadsheet for the developer's review, all I ask for is a little bit of cooperation to match up with Battists guidelines.

EDIT
I would not say you are an idiot. I'd say that you are an enthusiast. I like strong fans of the series.

Raideroo is on the Beta Team and does an outstanding job on collecting the suggestions and putting them in a form that Markus and the OOTPB Development Team will be able to quickly look at and make a decision on inclusion or not.

We need to listen to Raideroo.

He is a good man and a great member of the OOTPB Community.

I would be happy with a sing;e new feature: The ability to choose the market size of teams BEFORE the initial draft. I prefer to have all teams completely equal but I would be happy with a 1-5 scale with 1 representing the greatest difference between teams and 5 representing complete equality.

Head to Head Online Play?

Forgive me if this has been discussed before, I'm returning to OOTP after a few years off.

I was tempted to buy 9, but if 10 will be out in a few months, I will probably wait, and would love an option to run a league together with a friend and play head to head online.

You'll have to wait for someone else to address the head-to-head issue, but considering that the final patch for version 9 isn't out yet, my guess would be 6+ months before version 10 sees the light of day.
