Game setup advice

Hi, this is seriously an awesome game, but I need some pointers on what's the best way to setup the game for what I want to accomplish without too many false starts.

I would like to create a league based on the actual major leagues starting in about 1912 or so, but with purely fictional players. I want to start out as unhired and sim a couple seasons to see how the player's stats develop, and then try to get hired as a manager or GM.

So, with that in mind, where should I go to find the ballparks of that era? If I play as commish, I understand that I can edit all of this information even if I'm an unemployed manager. However, where do I get the classic ballpark info?

Also, if I sim and progress through decades of play, will international players be added? I selected zero since in 1912 there were no international players, but by the 40s and 50s they began to appear. Does the game account for this, and if not, how do I set this up?

Scratch my question on finding ballpark info, I found that on line, however can the game take into consideration the amount of foul ground area?

Finally, I thought I read somewhere that individual ballparks were created to animate the in-game screen, but I'm not sure where I can find those.

(I like the old ballparks...)

Do you have background pics for the classic ballparks?

I think international players will be added because it's an ingame setting, and the game adjusts to it immediately. Other than that I can't offer help, but I will look forward to trying out your league!

Also, I'd recommend turning off financials and possibly trading and free agency to simplify things.

Hi, no unfortunately not. I thought perhaps someone had created some graphics that represented the old parks that could be uploaded into the game.

Thanks again, but you'll have to give me some time on getting my league up and running, it may take me a while to get it where I want it!

padrasfan mods has some computerized ballpark images. They aren't the real ballparks, but some are really cool (and would go great with your fictional league!).
