creating a real "rookie"
Hello. As far back as I can remember, ive never been able to create a rookie, especially in ootp 9. Whenever I want to make a guy I just have to reedit someone already in there. Thus this player is not really a rookie. Like the last guy I did, i put him at age 19, but since it was an older guy, it showed him at Triple A ball at the young age of 13. Can anyone help? Im sure its obvious, but I can't seem to nail it.
Thank you. |

Welcome, ump. The way to create a player in this game is to be the commissioner at least temporarily (Manager, Options), go to the Free Agents screen and click Create Fictional Player (the button will not be visible if you do not have commissioner powers).
A window pops up to select the type of player that you want, and how many players you want to create of that type. I inserted a screen print below in which I selected Very Young & Raw which seems to be the type that you want. Regardless of experience, however, none of these new players will have any previous stats in your league, of course. |
