How much of player's demand to offer?
I'm a newb to financials, I'm in my first league that uses them.
I have a couple of players who want about $100,000 for 3-year deals. I want to sign these guys, and to pay as little as possible, of course, but don't want to low-ball the players so badly that I anger them. Their morales are currently neutral. I was going to start at about 90% of their demand, but I'm afraid that's too high, I don't want to rip myself off. What's a safe "low" amount to start the negotiations at? |

$100k? What year is your league in?
![]() I usually start in the neighborhood of 75% of what their offering, so I'd offer those guys $75k and see what they do. A lot depends on their greed and loyalty ratings, if you have them enabled. |

Hi All,
Satchel, go to Game Setup, League Setup, Rules. Down on the bottom gives typical salaries for the different player qualities. That'll give you something to go on. I'm still trying to feel out this whole player salary thing myself. It depends on the player, but I probably start out around 50 - 60% of player demand. Sometimes the player seems pissed off, but I haven't had anyone cut out negotiations with me yet. If anyone else has more experience, please chime in with your wisdom. We could all use the help. Happy Gaming, Frank |
