Converting position players into pitchers

In my online league, there are some low-level players who are designated as position players, but whose pitching potential ratings are higher than their batting ratings.

What is a realistic and fair way to allow owners to convert these position players into pitchers?

Were these players created automatically by the game? If so, then I doubt that there will be anything outrageous about their ratings. Just let the GMs in question change the positions of the players to SP or MR and watch what happens.

I've converted a few position players to pitchers and vice versa in on-line leagues. They never really panned out for me, but I've seen it work for another GM or two. Their development is just the luck of the draw, same as with any player.

Thanks for the input Nutlaw.

These are players created by the game, and none of their ratings seem particularly high. We've got a couple of scrub catchers who have about average pitching potential ratings. Nothing about the whole sitiuation seems out-of-hand.

I didn't realize that it was as simple as an owner manually switching a position toggle, but I hadn't experimented much with this. Taking your instruction, I have taken a closer look, and it is as you say, all it takes is for the owner to make the move.

Thanks again.
