When to release players - free agency and secondary rosters off
Playing a very basic financial model in a fictional solo league.
Financials on, but secondary rosters and free agency are off. This means my players are automatically resigned each season. Right now the league is new and small and doesn't have a post-season. I have some guys I want to release and not resign. When to release them? It seems as soon as I flip to the day after the last game, everyone is resigned for the next year. So, do I have to release them on the last day, before advancing? Thanks |

It certainly sounds that way. With no free agency, players are considered 'free agents' immediately following the season and their contracts are instantly generated.
