GBA Quickstart Now Available

I decided to create a Quickstart file based on my personal fictional association after seeing the reaction to SkyDog's NABA Quickstart. I tried to make this available from the Add-Ons Central screen, but was having some problems, so we'll do it the old-fashioned way for now.

You can find the link to the quickstart for the Grassroots Baseball Alliance on my Mod Website on the Templates page. Here are the primary attributes of the GBA:
  • 1 League
  • 3 Divisions
  • 18 Teams
  • No minors
  • Finances off by default (I like pure baseball)
  • Starting year is 2000
  • No history built up, starts with the initial draft
  • Stadiums are all unique, and seat 10K-15K
  • Schedule is 120 games long and unbalanced
  • Division Series is a Best of 7
  • Championship Series is a Best of 9
  • Custom logos for every team, with colors and uniforms all ready to go

I've used RonCo's and Skydog's settings, so thanks to them for all of their hard work on creating a better baseball experience. I also need to thank everyone who helped with the graphic mods. Justafan, Silvam14, & Cephasjames, you guys rock!

Finally, there is also a complete Ballpark Pack that accompanies this Quickstart. You can download it from the same location, it's the next link down on that page. It uses the ballparks from the "Best of blueturf/ctorg/Henry/Teflon Skies" archive that I also host on my website, so thanks to those guys as well. If you drop these images into your Ballparks folder you will get the images, complete with correct ball flight animations.

I hope you guys enjoy this, and let me know if you have any questions.

Black - I'm also on a Mac, and I just re-installed the latest patch, and re-downloaded my quickstart, and it worked without error. Not sure what the problem could be... sorry...
