Game crash when trying to change roster
I had a perfectly fine and working game until last week when it crashed when I entered the "Lineups" tab of the team menu. Upon opening up the save and playing around I discovered that every other option was still open to me except entering the "Lineups" and "Pitching" tab. The game would CTD if I did this
I assumed it was a problem with the save I was working with but when I started a new game the same thing happened. No worries, said I, the game has become corrupted, so I did a full uninstall and re-install (this was in version 9.1.2 BTW). Same problem. Started a new game. Same problem. Uninstalled everything and installed the first version of the game. Same problem. Uninstalled everything and installed the 9.1.6. Same problem. Now I start to get annoyed. The game used to work and now doesn't. Any ideas? For reference, I'm using Vista and I get the following information when the game crashes. Problem Event name: APPCRASH application name: ootp9.exe Application version: 2.0.0.0 Application timestamp: 4892e491 Fault Module name: ootp9.exe fault module version: 2.0.0.0 fault module timestamp: 4892e491 Exception code: c0000094 Exception offset: 0045d9ea os version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.6 locale ID: 3081 Addtional information 1: 2bbc Addtional information 2: a16274de2e84dbfc532eeabf2a1c98f5 Addtional information 3: 8da1 Addtional information 4: 0c067fbe62c36369d6d86041bdb2f498 |

Did you ever apply any custom filters? Have you tried disabling FaceGen? Have you tried playing in different screen resolutions or switching from full screen to windowed mode or vice versa?

I have now. Game still crashes when I try and get into the Roster, Pitching and Lineup tabs on any team page (not just mine).

Have you tried deleting your OOTP 9 folder within your Application Data folder? (Note, this will delete your settings and custom filters, but not your saved games.)

I don't have a folder by that name.
There is a c:\users\owner\roaming directory but only has an intel folder, there is no c:\users\owner\appdata folder at all. |

Success I think.
I read in another thread that uninstall doesn't necessarily remove all the files related to skins and other things (not that I've ever changed skins), so I unistalled again and then manually deleted the "c:\program files\out of the park developments" folder as well as the "c:\users\owner\out of the park developments" folder. I re-installed and started a new MLB game and the crashes didn't happen. Hopefully this is the end of it. I'll post here if it happens again. |

Great. I'll close this thread out for now, then. Post a link to this thread in Tech Support if you have trouble down the line. Thanks.
