Show your support
Ok so this is going off of my last thread I started.
I want to see ppl post in here that love the game and have fun playing it. I want this thread to be used to show are support for the game and the developers. No NEGATIVE feedback please just positive. So post in this thread with your positive feedback on the the game, anything fun that happened to you in the game, on the developers, ect. I am hoping all the ppl that love the game will post here and this is the time for the ppl that have the game, but don't post in the forums, to come out and post that they like it. I am post number one and I am supporting the game. This game keeps me entertained for hours, I trust the developers to listen to its purchasers, and my favorite thing about the game is getting attached to the players you draft, develop and start. |

![]() Markus has once again made a completely addictive product that I can't quit. With so many new features to try out, and with all of the good stuff left over from the previous versions that got me off the Baseball Mogul bandwagon and on the OOTP bandwagon in the first place (starting with OOTP5). Thanks, Markus and team, for making such a great product yet again, thereby ensuring that I'll be properly entertained on my 13-hour trans-pacific flights for as long as my laptop battery will allow. |

I to was one of the ppl that played baseball mogul first then came to OOTP. I found season ticket baseball and then found my way to here. As far as your sleep comment, I have lost a lot of sleep to while trying to set up the perfect fictional league.
Nice post lets keep them coming.

Of course I think this game rocks! If I thought it stank, I'd do the worst thing one can possibly do to a game that stinks. I'd ignore it. I wouldn't waste hours playing it, nor more hours discussing it on some forum. Although, I think there are others on here who DO fit that discription, but that's their life.
I love OOTP, even with its flaws. Nothing is perfect. |

I love this game!
![]() I think this is by far the most well designed baseball sumulation game in the market right now. I love the community, and I enjoy coming here at least once everyday to see what is going on. I hate to sound like a guy without a "real life" or something, but I realise now that my life will never be the same without this game.

I started out as a historical league player, but started a fictional league back in V6.5 to see how I liked it. Happy to say that I am in my 40th season of playing out all of my teams games. The first 26 seasons were played in V6.5 and the last 13.5 have been in V2006 thru V9. After dominating year after year, I have turned off ratings to make it more difficult. The fun never stops.

Hi my name is Dave... and I'm a OOTP addict.
Wow, that felt good. I have been around since OOTP2, but for years I have only been coming to the board for a quick look up of some information or to check out the latest mods. I was so excited for OOTP9, I started visiting the board again everyday. Everyone else was so excited too, so I wanted in on the fun. I tried to sign up for a new account, but to my surprise I already had an active one from '05 that I had forgotten about. I knew the board had moved since I was last an occasional poster and not just a lurker (I went by TDR back in the day.) I thought maybe I will start getting involved again; but alas, it seems the new car smell has worn off. Often, by the time I can get to a thread that interests me, something in it will make me mad (I'm a fanboy, I'll admit, I take this stuff personally.) I don't come here to get mad... now back to my point. OOTP is the best stress reliever I have found. As an auditor, I am dealing with numbers all day. In my down time, OOTP gives me numbers I can lose myself in. When I am trying to figure out what I can get for Lenny Dykstra circa 1990, because he has blown up since I brought him to Pittsburgh in part of the blockbuster Barry Bonds, and I can't afford him anymore, I don't worry about work. My job has a fairly high burn out rate (I've seen it), but my family and OOTP have helped me keep balanced (just don't tell my wife I put both things in the same sentence.) So even though I don't post often, I have and will continue to support OOTP. Thank you Markus. Sincerely, Dave (BMD, TDR, The David Reborn) P.S. I have changed my avatar. Although the frowny thumbs down Simon cracks me up, I don't want people to think that is any sort of commentary on the game. |

I can honestly say, without a doubt that this is THE BEST GAME THAT I'VE EVER PLAYED..PERIOD!!!

Since I discovered OOTP about a year and a half ago (right before 2007 was released), I've played OOTP almost every single day. I've never played a game that had that much replayability!!
Thanks Markus, you are truly appreciated. Keep up the great work!! Last edited by falkonisback; 08-01-2008 at 09:36 AM. |

This is quite simply the bes baseball game on the market, regardless of fomat.I've actually decided to start play in 1905 with the Philadelphia Athletics,no draft(rookies enter league with the team they broke in with) no free agency(until it really happened) and no arbitration(ditto) that way its as historical as possible and I'm going to play out every game until the present day. This is an undertaking that I expect to take years, thats how much I like this game.

For the amount of time I've burned in a game, this has to be the best value ever. 100's of hours played with previous versions, well on the way with this years. And for much less than what I pay for a single month of cable tv.

The various Civ's have cost me 1000's of dollars and hours, but not since discovering OOTP. was a cab driver, owned own cab so worked as I wanted too, took time off at $25-40 and hour to play Civ on the Amiga. Been looking for as complete a baseball sim since earl weaver days/ retired now, so only costs time for OOTP.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get into playing fictional baseball. In all my years with games, my idea was to replay old seasons. Out of curiosity (due mostly to what I read in the forums) I went ahead and created a fictional league back in OOTP5. The rest is history. I play the fictional team far more than I play my historical league.
I drive a truck for a living and sleep is a good thing for someone driving one of these things, but if I make the mistake of turning the game on while sitting around a truck stop I can't turn it off which results in about 2-3 hours of sleep. Luckily, I can do with little sleep from time to time, but I do have to make sure not to turn the game on EVERY day, as hard as that is to do. |

Best money I have ever invested in a video game series.
On top of that, this game has brought got me interested in the wonderful world of graphic design (very limited knowledge)

The progress that Markus has made over the years with this game is like no other product that I've seen.
He was one of many choices a few years ago, a strong contender a couple of years ago and is now the creator of the richest, deepest, most complex text baseball sim on the market. I have owned every known text baseball sim for a PC and even before that (Atari 800 XL). I still own the latest versions of Baseball Mogul, PureSim, Action PC Baseball, Strat-O-Matic and Diamond Mind Baseball (most recent, unfortunately, is about 2 years ago). OOTP is now the gold standard.

It's made a difference in my life, and I mean that seriously. The past few years have been rough ones for several reasons, and OOTP has taken my mind off my troubles and whiled away hours which would have otherwise been spent brooding. By OOTP, I'm talking about the game and the community, by the way.
