Help with Nicknames

I'm creating a 16 team fantasy league based on two historical leagues (according to baseball1.com) which never got off the ground. They are the United Baseball League (1996) and the Continental League (1960). Because these leagues never got past the announcement stage, there are no nicknames listed, so I was wondering if you guys could help me out with brainstorming for ideas. Here are the teams (location):

United Baseball League
Bayamon (Bayamon, PR)
New York (Brentwood, NY)
Kissimmee (Kissimmee, FL)
Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)
New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)
Portland (Portland, OR)

Continental League

By the way, I'm looking for names not already in use by real major league teams or other pro teams in the same city. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey jerem

According to "John Fulgaro's Sport's Logo Guide, Third Edition", There were nicknames and logos for 4 proposed teams in the UBL.

Here they are:

Atlanta Heaters

Boston Bats

Los Angeles Blaze

& New York Kongs

Now in the recap of the "league history"(for lack of a better term) Neither Atlanta or Boston is mentioned as 1 of the 8 proposed teams, yet they had logos listed. Who knows.
