Lightbulb Unretirements

There should be an integrated system to unretire a player if he retires early. For example, players like Carl Yastrzemski, Nolan Ryan, and Jim Kaat played lengthy careers, but I doubt the historical aspect of that is accounted for.

One feature I'd like is as follows:

if someone in your league recieves a career ending injury, he would retire and once in a while (very rare) one of these players would attempt a comeback.

unretirements/comebacks

being a reds fan, the stated examples mirror jose rijo... rijo was a stud in the 1990 world series and then in the early 90s blew out his arm and then was out of the game for at least 6 years and then made a comeback and was fairly succesful... i think there needs to be some sort of pool of players that your organization can "talk to" in hopes to coax them out of retirement and what not...

Agreed.

Yeah ... it would be cool if you could have the option of asking old players to come out of retirement ... maybe just for one season or something... to try to put a good team back over the top, like they were when the player was in his prime, something like that. There would have to be a low success rate on this obviously, as not every player could just come back and be a star again, but in some cases it could work out.
