Suggestions for my league

I am a newbie to OOTP with version 9 and am enjoying the game. What I want to do is recreate this season as accurately as possible, then add two expansion teams at the end of the year. I have researched the expansion draft and will make it as realistic as I can. I'm looking for suggestions.
*What is the best roster available? I've read about CubbyFan's, is this the best?
*What are some things I should keep in mind when starting a season/doing an expansion draft?
*I've read that certain people add a minor league team the year before their major league teams begin play. Should I and can I add minor league teams for each team before the 08 season?
*Any tips for accurately recreating this season?
*Any other tips at all? I'm in an online league but this will be my first solo league and I want to try and not overlook anything.

Unfortunately I don't play in this manner, being a fictional player only. However, the one piece of advice that I can give you is to search these forums - General Discussions, New to the game, and Historical Leagues. I would also go back to the OOTP 2007/8 General Discussions board and search that as well. I have seen your questions asked and answered before.
