Pausing a game and restarting it later
If I'm managing a game directly myself and I need to shutdown my computer before the game is over, can I pause and save the game right where it is, shut down the computer, and then pickup the game right where I left off some time later? If so, I cannot figure out how. So I suspect this feature doesn't exist.

No, there is no capability to save a game part of the way through. The best you can do is to leave the computer running and shut off the screen until you can return to it.

I am with the half that believes you should shut down your computer as few times as you can and why is that? Because starting up a computer really takes a lot of juice, and it also fires up all of your harddrives as well as starts a number of other processes on the motherboard. All of this, a lot of us believe, makes the life of the computer much less than if you leave it on and not cause this sudden surge in all of the HDDs, the processor, the fans, the motherboard, the other peripherals your computer has. Of course, you can do whatever you want with your own computer but I am constantly finding fried motherboards and bad harddrives on many of the computers that I work on and when I ask them if they shut down their computer everyday, they say yes, of course, because of the energy. Actually the computer uses hardly any more electricity than does a light bulb. At least the newer ones anyway. Ok, I got carried away here. Sorry. What was this thread about, anyway? ![]() Just kidding. No, the game doesn't have that feature. Even though I don't shut down my computer I would love to see that though. Sometimes I might want to stop and go online or do something else. Anyway, my two cents....or probably my quarter! Sorry!
