Error Creating New League

When I am creating a new fictional league, once I get to the end and click start game, it generates everything and then at the end I get this error message:

"DATABASE::save_database - could not save messages file"

I try to click "OK" but it seems to just be frozen and I cannot move beyond this.

I am using 9.1 on Mac OS X. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems to be a problem with my league template. I don't know exactly why it is acting up like it is. Must be some setting I have. I have included my league template below. If anyone has any insight to why I am getting this error, it'd be appreciated. I included a download of the template below.

Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Any opinions on why I might have gotten this error? It's preventing me from playing right now and it's super frustrating.

Shane, is this a template from a previous version of OOTP?

No sir. I am creating this template from scratch and when I click start game, it runs through generating stuff and then when it gets to messages, it gives me that error. It freezes too so I can't hit "ok" and have to force quit the program.

Shane,

Is there any chance you could download the latest patch and give it a whirl again? 9.1.2 resolved a number of issues related to Intel Macs, and it's possible that this issue was also resolved, although we weren't specifically aware of it.

To be clear, I would suggest you recreate the league, if it's not too much trouble, rather than loading the existing league...

After installing 9.1.2 I tried with the template and no dice. Then I recreated it all from scratch and it loaded fine! Thanks for your help Steve. Incredibly appreciated!
