Post Designated hitters!

I have watched and played about a dozen games now using a fictional league and I have noticed that there is a great number of DH's put into the game....I use the non DH rules, as I hate the DH rule in the American League. Is this something that I can somehow control? I cannot find anywhere to do that. I just think it is crazy when you look and every batter in the opposing line up is a DH. I mean it is nice to be able to use all of your players but I think that is very unrealistuc...
Seriously, though, is there a way of changing the AI of the other teams? I know I can make myself commissioner and go in and change each teams setting but I am sort of hoping there was a simpler way to do this.
Thanks, in advance.

Game, Game Setup, League Setup, Rules, select the league (or leagues - each has to be done separately), uncheck the Designated Hitter Rule box(es - there's one for each subleague). I think this can be done during the season but it may be better to wait until offseason or preseason.

Thanks my friend. I appreciate the quick response. I guess I will put up with it for now. DH....who ever thought of that should be taken out back and shot!

A twist on this issue

I've check the option to *have* a designated hitter under "rules", but when viewing my LINEUPS page, there is no DH for my AL team. Additionally, there is no spot in the lineup for one. I attempted to list the DH's position as "--", but it still will not allow a ninth hitter in the lineup. Any ideas?

As I am sure you are aware the DH was a way to put butts in the seats for a younger league that was having fan issues. I do agree with you though in that the "cheater" rule is one of the worst things that ever happened to baseball, as well as giving Steinberner (sp?) ownership in a baseball team.

Nevermind. Didn't click the correct view. Man... that was simpler than I realized.
