League Setup Questions
1. Is there a way to set up a league so it is just playoffs and I can seed the team myself? Basically, I want to do historical seasons as 16-team tournaments (sp).
2. Is there a way to assign historical ballparks and cities to fictional teams? I thought I stumbled onto this a few days ago but can't find it again. Thanks, brettson |

2. On your teams Home page(s) choose Options and Ballparks and edit the ball park to your liking incl renaming, fence height, and weather to name a few of the many options. |

1. No, you cannot set up a league so it is just play-offs. You have to have a season first. You can however, as Tycobbler stated, customize your play-offs.

After rethinking about this i found a way to have a Historical Tourney without having to play out a season.
Upon creating a fictional league, 1 division of 8 teams, no minors, set the # of games to 0, disabled the allstar game, disabled balanced schedule format, and set the series length to 1 game, set as commissioner and started the league creation process (start game) I then went to Game setup\League setup\Rules. I disabled trading, free agency, and finances. Next i moved one tab over (Options) and unchecked spring training, and checked use custom playoffs. Clicked on customize playoffs, set it up as i wanted by checking all 8 teams boxes (not wildcards) and confirmed it. Next went to the first tab (Functions), and under the Editors section, hit the Edit League Structure, and deleted all 8 teams. Using the Import Hist. Team button i began to add 8 historical teams to my league by navigating to the C:\Users\owner\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\stats folder from within the game and clicking on the Teams.csv and confirm. I did this until i had the 8 teams replaced; 7 from 1977 and the 1984 Tigers ![]() note* to change the entering teams year type it in and hit enter on your keyboard. when you go back to the teams selection box again it now reads the newly input year. I did not use the Generate Schedule button to leave this screen. Just exit out by selecting your League Home Page or another page whatever. I did however have to go back to Game setup\League setup\Options and check the use customize playoffs button again. I set it for 1 game series each round and confirmed. You can set it for seeding as well and set the seeds accordingly for the 1st round only. enjoy! That's it you're all set. |

So it is possible to create league where all X amount of teams are in the playoffs?
I've been messing around trying to create HS league and love to be able to have all 50 teams in a playoff. Sounds like its possible? |
