Baseball announcer Joe Buck...doesn't like baseball

It seems that Joe Buck, Fox's main baseball play-by-play announcer, isn't really a baseball fan. Which is an amazing coincidence, because most baseball fans aren't fans of Joe Buck's (lack of) talent. Check out this interview:

I'm sure baseball's no fan of Joe Buck either.

I like Joe Buck's sarcasm, humor and lack of being a fan boy.

I'll admit that having Joe Buck around makes me feel that I what I am watching is something special. He just adds credibility.

If I had to spend that much time with Tim McCarver, I'd hate baseball, too.

I think you're onto something there.

I often feel a sense of loathing towards many things baseball after listening to McCarver.

Meh. His attitude pretty much mirrors mine. Of course, I'm not paid lots of money to cover the games, but I'm sure I'm also not nearly as up on the game as he is, either. My complaints regarding Joe Buck have nothing to do with his not being up to date on what's happening in baseball.

Seemed like a decent guy though not the same without Ratso Rizzo. His foray into male prostitution seemed ill-advised however. Were you a client?

Well, if this means I don't hear his voice during the postseason...WOO HOO!! Now if Fox can somehow show McCarver the door, postseason baseball might be more fun to watch even if the games take too long.

I like Buck fine enough... It's McCarver that wrecks the ship.
