Greek god of walks?

Here is south-korea. English is not my native language. I hope you get my drift.

I bought one copy OOTP 9 a week ago. I am playing with Boston Red sox. Whenever I play play-by-play game, I see the word which is the "Greek god of walks".

What does this mean?

Greek God of Walks is the nickname of the first baseman Kevin Youkilis

comes from the book "Money Ball" where GM Billy Beane of Oakland fell in love with Youklis when he was in Red Sox minor leagues- he loved Youks plate patience and walk ability
