Is A CD Available

Is there a CD version of OOTP9 available? I preordered, but I only have a dial-up connection and at current download speeds, it would take me a total of 18 hours to download the 192 MBs.

Nope...download only.

Just get a download manager (for disconnects) and let it download over night. Over night is still faster than having something shipped (typically 4-8 days).

When you purchased OOTP you should have had the option to buy a CD copy (or at least a backup copy) for $10 dollars, at least if you use a PC- I'm not sure if it works the same for macs. Check the store and/or e-license website and see if theres a way for you to still get said CD. Hopefully another member can talk about experience with this as I have none.

I also pre-ordered and then ran into trouble downloading, as I am also on dial up. I ordered the CD, but the web store is unclear about things with it. I read in one area they would mail in 4-5 business days, another said 7-10. Also, it did not prompt for any info as to what version you wanted. I am concerned that I may get a disk without the latest version. I have thought about calling and cancelling my order. I dont know though, as I would like to try ootp 9.

I realize that I am in the cyber stone age with dial up and I cant expect businesses to lag behind to handle business for what would be a minority of people today. BUT, having said that, perhaps a little more clarity on the web store would be helpful. Or maybe I missed something.

Since the download itself isn't predicated on paying for it, you could have a buddy download and burn it for you, then just plug in your code when you install it.
