Regarding Minor League management

Under the team control settings, I'm confused about the exact definitions of "Minor League Transactions" and "Roster Moves"

I want the computer to manage minor lineups and also demote and promote players when ready. However, I dont want the computer to manipulate anything on my major league roster. For Example, I have two stud pitchers in AAA that are certainly ready for the Majors. But my team is out of the pennant race and I want to save a year of their eligibility before I have to pay them the big bucks. Is there a way for these things to happen concurrently?

Also, what is the total depth of action when Minor League transactions are set to auto?


Finally, if the above scenario is not possible, is there a faster way to promote and demote players with the knowledge of if they should be promoted or not (the comment in the minor league report) without using the right click menu? This can become consuming because it resets the page with every change made.
