Any of these make it into the game?

This is a list I made a couple of weeks ago regarding things I would like to see in OOTP 9. I was wondering if any of these things made it into the game. If any of these need more explanation, I would be happy to elaborate or post a screen shot.

1. Stop sims when players reach certain milestones (500 homeruns, 3000 hits, 300 wins) This was available in OOTP4/5/6. Would like to see it expanded to include all time records.

2. On that note, add news messages when players break career records. If a player breaks the all time homerun record, there should be a news story.

3. Bring back the records books, its very difficult to see who is the pitcher with the most strikeouts in one game. From OOTP 4/5/6

4. Add an active leaderboard, cato or wallman like. Include all the major stats, plus stuff like hitting streaks.

5. Player history page should only count awards won in the major leagues, not in the minors. Currently it counts both. So if it says a player has won 8 player of the week awards, this counts minors and majors, it really should only count majors.

6. Add a leaderboard for most awards won. There is currently no easy way to know who has won the most mvp awards.

7. Fix financials. Different screens give you different information about how much money you have to spend. The financial coefficient is pointless as far as I can tell. It is possible to add inflation using the "import adjusted financial settings" checkbox, but this does not work real well if you have two major leagues with different salary structures.

8. Fix the commish mode. I do not want to be fired from my team, but I like to play with a salary cap. This was easy to do it v4/5/6, but in 2007 if you turn commish mode on to avoid the chance you will be fired, you are no longer held to the salary cap. A simple "I cannot be fired" checkbox would fix this.

9. Fix the minor league system SION (BNN) page. Allow players to be moved in this screen using drag and drop, or put arrows in the transaction screen to reflect what the recommendations are. Also, it is currently not possible to bookmark the SION minor league system page. Doing so will bookmark your SION team home page instead.

4 is already there. 7 + 8 are fixed. 9 can be easily done with the right-click menu. The other stuff is for OOTP 10

When i use the right click menu in 2007, I am taken back to the team home page after every move that I make. So if I want to move, lets say 10 players, for each player I have to:

1 Right click the player
2 click his destination
3 get sent back to the team home page
4 click minor league system
rinse and repeat.

It would take 15 seconds to do this in OOTP 4, but it takes 10 minutes to do it in OOTP 2007.

this was so much easier in the pre-si versions. There was just a transaction screen with arrows. Its just aggravating that when I had a game that i was limited to three minor league levels, I had an easy ability to move players between levels with all the info i needed. Now I have a game with as many minor league levels as i want, but no real easy way to move players between the levels without 4 or more clicks for each player.

Any way to return the arrows in the transaction screen (ala OOTP 4,5,6) to match what the scouts are recommending in the minor league system page?

when using the right-click on the minor league report, after every demotion, it reverts back to the team home page. dont think this happened in 2007, any chance of fixing it to stay on the minor league report page

So to clarify - there are NO record books (like there were in ootp 6.5) in OOTP9?

There is no record book like there was in 6.5, that is correct, but there are still ways to see the season records by viewing the Leaderboard. It is sorted by Most Homeruns, or Complete Games, etc. While still missing is the game records and the team records, at least there are some records that can be viewed.

I am sure a record book is planned for 10, if not, I will be the lobbyist for that!

What about importing players from the DB directly into the draft pool? Did that make it in?

What about an option to import specific draft classes at user option? So that, for instance you could specify the year you wanted to import each year, including the option to duplicate or repeat draft classes?

I've been whining about this since 2006!

You guys know about this screen?

I find this far more compelling then the old record book that showed only 1 name and number for each category and with no ability to click through for more information.

am I missing something about the old record book? this feels like pining for the good old days of dialup.

Yes, I love that, but there are a couple of things missing that we already had in 6.5.

First, you can't edit the records. So, you can't fix things and you can't update it to include stuff that happened in the league prior to your conversion to OOTP 2006 (though the CATO importer from last year helped a ton).

Second, there are no game records, streak records, rookie records...a lot of the flavor of the game is missing.

very nice screen, but where are the single game records? Most homeruns in a game? Highest average by a rookie?

Does this really still count minor and major league awards? Maybe I am out of my mind here, but does anyone really want the awards page to count minors and majors? Does anyone really care how many times your player made the AA all star game?

I completely agree. I really, really wish that it was divided and tallied between majors and minors (or at least a drop down box to filter, like we can for statistics). The overall tally is for quick reference, but it's not quick if you have to count out in your head the minor leagues from those totals.
