ver 4.2 cut and resign same player

What do you make of this? I play a solo league with Rolens orginal ootp4 roster. I play all games myself and am starting my 3rd season. In the transaction news the Braves released Tom Glavine and then resigned him on the same day. Another team also did this with one of their players but I can't recall who right now. Now won't they be liable for both the new and old contract? Would this be a bug or a glitch? Or beings he's going right back to his old team are they getting some kind of break on their finacial responibility?

They wouldn't get a break of their financial responsibility; but if you are using a salary cap, the new contract might have a lower cap number.

No salary cap. Just thought it was odd and hadn't seen it reported before.

I would think it would be odd to have that happen. Personally I would like to see the player treat the cutting team the way they do in FOF where they won't sign with you if you cut them. Granted I know that it does happen once in awhile where the player will want to have a job rather than not but if they game the team an attitude for cutting them that would be excellent.
