Thumbs up Two new OOTP 9 screenshots!

Enjoy!

I have added a hot & cold section to the league stats section. The players highlighted are on my team:

And, a nice little touch on the schedule screen:

Just 4 more days!

One question, right now the hot & cold stats include spring training games... should they be removed from the equation?

Can't that be addressed by the splits?

I think spring training stats is fine during spring. Maybe once regular season starts just start fresh.

I'd say yes. Spring training stats are meaningless for most players.

Nope leave hot and cold for ST games too please. Just one more thing to wonder if it is a slow start or your scout had one to many the night before.

Hot and Cold with Spring Training Stats

Hi Markus,

Personally I would remove the spring training stats from the calculation. I would be more concerned with them during the season and not a carryover from the preseason.

Add my vote to that, FWIW.

Many times you see somebody hot come out of ST where the games don't count and where lineups and rotations are not the usual and optimal, only to bomb as soon as the season starts. Same for the guys who were batting interstate in ST and suddenly get hot when the starting gun goes off.

BTW, cute title: "Hot & Not" deserves a

I agree. Spring training and the regular season are two different animals.

BTW, VERY nice touches!

Very nice work Markus, looks great

I've got to say with my current season (I play out all of my games) approaching the playoffs I've been more patient than any other year waiting for the new version. However each new newsletter and post\screenie from you is starting to get the blood boiling.

I know we all have and are entitled to our opinions but how anyone thinks this version doesn't offer enough new to justify upgrading is beyond me. Looking forward to the best OOTP ever.

That reminds me of two things I've been meaning to ask about:

A past version of OOTP (6.5? I don't remember) kept track of how many times a player was named Player of the Game throughtout their career. Any chance that can return in OOTP10?

Also, would it be possible to have a player named MVP of each playoff series and have that recorded in their player history?

The new screens look great and I can't wait to play the new version.

hot/cold spring games

Markus,

Can you have the option to turn it off and on for Spring games. This way it would please everybody....Just an idea.

Speaking of ideas....I know in the history it shows what player has won a championship but can you add this to the top of the page for his accomplishments? Like with MVP, player of the week, etc.

I was just taking some time to re-read all the newsletters from start to finish, and I was trying to decide whether to come back here and say something along these lines but Sweed has already said it for me.

Look, I'm critical at times but when I was done looking back on all of that, I said to myself "All this for only $24.99? That's the best deal that I have had in a while."

Today, I am a fan-boy. So what.

The first option is already in the game, under History/Accomplishments.
